Wayne Farinacci

Dear Mayfield High School Alumni,
As the President of the Mayfield High School Alumni Association, located in Mayfield
Village, Ohio, I welcome you to our official Association web site.  The Association was
started in 1980 and is one of the most active public high school alumni associations in
the state, with over 2500 dues paying members.  We provide many services to the
student body of the Mayfield City Schools and also provide many social events for our
alums.

Through the years, we have provided consultation and assistance to over 24 other high schools as they began to organize their own alumni associations. Among our many accomplishments, three stand out.  Our scholarship program, funded by alums, has awarded $550,400 to 743 seniors since our first scholarship was given out in 1981.  We now manage 33 different scholarship funds, about half of which are memorial in nature. Secondly, we are proud to have established a $133,000 fund raising project to build and furnish an Alumni Pavilion at Wildcat Park.  The Alumni Pavilion is used by student groups, parent support groups, and class reunions at no cost.  Please contact the Alumni Association if you are interested in using the Alumni Pavilion in the future. Thirdly, our Alumni Museum, located in the 9-10 wing of the high school, is loaded with some amazing memorabilia that has been collected over the years. Included is the history of MHS from its first class in 1899 to the present.

The Association is always in need of financial and personal support as we take on more student, staff, and alumni projects.  Our alums have consistently demonstrated the highest level of support for any of our endeavors.  If you are not a member of our Association, you need to consider joining now.  All members receive two comprehensive newsletters each year, in January and July.  Our membership dues are only $35 for lifetime membership!  Do not hesitate to contact the Mayfield Alumni Association with your questions or suggestions.

We are the only Mayfield Alumni Association.  Please don’t be duped by companies that purport to represent MHS., or its alumni, in any way.  Those “sites“ are for-profit companies that attempt to solicit members from all high schools throughout the nation.   Their spirit wear looks legitimate, but their purpose is to make money. Ask them to produce their federal EIN number the next time you look them up!  We are a non-profit organization with a 501-c-3 classification.  They cannot use the term "Association".
